AFTER-CARE INSTRUCTIONS

What to Do post-Treatment

Your skin may appear red, feel warm, or be slightly tender for a few hours to a few days. This is normal.

1. Avoid Heat & Sweat

For 24–72 hours after treatment:

  • No hot showers, saunas, steam rooms, or jacuzzis
  • No intense workouts or heavy sweating

2. Keep It Clean & Soothe the Skin

  • Gently cleanse the area and pat dry
  • Apply aloe vera, fragrance-free lotion, or a cool compress
  • For irritation, use a mild hydrocortisone cream (if needed)

3. Avoid Harsh Products

For at least 10 days:

  • No deodorant, makeup, or scented/tinted skincare on treated areas
  • No exfoliating products (AHAs, BHAs, retinoids, scrubs)

4. Wear Soft, Loose-Fitting Clothes

Post-treatment skin is sensitive. Choose breathable, non-restrictive fabrics that won’t cause chafing.

5. Prioritize Sun Protection

  • Keep the treated area covered or use SPF 50+ daily
  • Reapply sunscreen regularly if outdoors

6. Wait to Shave

  • Do not shave the treated area for at least 10 days after each session

While most clients experience little to no discomfort, common (temporary) side effects include:

  • Redness or swelling
  • Mild itching or hives
  • Ingrown hairs (usually resolve on their own)
  • Flare-ups of acne or cold sores (for those prone)

If you notice unusual symptoms or have concerns, please contact your provider immediately.
